“I was really nervous coming into this convo, but this was so helpful.”
“I can’t believe that I was so afraid and in 20 minutes I feel like it’s a whole new world!”
These quotes come to you directly from recent conversations about data, and I could list so many more. Each of these individuals came to office hours, reluctant and afraid, after many promises from me that they would be happy we did this.
When you think about looking at your financial facts, does it evoke fear? If so, you are not alone. Some say the fear comes from a belief that they are flawed, and the data is going to reveal that awful truth. Others are afraid that seeing this information will be the catalyst that requires them to give up everything that makes them happy. Within the safe space of Financial Insight Training, neither one has EVER happened. And no, you won’t be the first!
I know it’s hard to believe me when I get poetic, describing the way you WILL feel. But I’m asking you to take a leap. Trust that what is on the other side is just what you need. When the existing view of your finances doesn’t include the facts, it is holding you back. A new detailed view, with real information, is the step that launches you to your best life. Let’s create this new view together.
I have one more quote that I want to share. This one comes from a FIT Alumni who began this work with me five years ago. “Remember the first time we looked at my data? I was so scared. I think about that all the time. If we hadn’t done that, I wouldn’t have this much accumulated, I wouldn’t have this job or apartment . . . I don’t even think I would still be in my relationship. All from being willing to look at a spreadsheet! I know I’m preaching to the choir, but the data changed everything.”
